Did you upgarde you QC recently? Do you have admin rights on your machine ? if yes the do the following:
Close QTP and any QC connection open
Delete default folder used by QC to download its components (done every time a client machine connects to QC server), same that QTP uses to perform its connection (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Mercury Interactive\Quality Center) and try again
If issue continues, then:
Delete the TD_80 folder under the Windows Temp folder
Uninstall the QC Add-in from Add/Remove Programs (from the Control Panel of Windows)
Delete the folder left behind called “QuickTest Add-in For Quality Center” under C:\Program Files\HP (Default location for QTP version 9.5 and above) or C:\Program Files\Mercury Interactive (Default for QTP version 9.2 and below)
Delete the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mercury Interactive\QuickTest Add-in for Quality Center
Reboot the machine
Install the QC Add-in again
Try to connect again. This will redownload the files and components required to fully allow a QTP connection to QC

Taken from HP KB

is your link that u r trying to paste is something like this:

If so, in that case, please truncate the "start_a.htm" part and use the following part and retry:

Hope this solves ur problem.
