Finally we are starting a new forum on FR Project. FR project teaches the person how to make use of automation via QTP while testing any application. We believe, this is the FIRST tutorial of its own kind where a software tester can learn how to use testing tool as well as finer nuances around testing application.
In this forum we will be uploading the educative presentations prepared on mercury sample application Flight Reservation to enhance your skills on QTP.
Following is the outlined scope for the FR Project:
• This project is much more than just another tutorial or framework, its like an online course that simulates a "real-world" automation-testing project. It offers a unique opportunity to gain invaluable real-world projects experience in QTP.
• Most tutorials provide quick solutions to few isolated technical dilemmas/problems while other tutorials provide almost nothing or little inputs on managing automation testing projects.
• This FR project endeavor takes a step further and involves you with everything related to carrying out a successful comprehensive automated testing project.
• Along the way, you will learn a great deal about the different types of testing (Regression, Negative, Sanity, etc.) coverage of system requirements, and transforming them into testing code.
• The FR project will teach you, step-by-step following things :
o how to design test,
o use advanced coding techniques,
o use modern testing methodologies (Object-Oriented methodology)
o Different other aspect of testing software projects.
• Instead of giving you just one perspective and a definite solution to a problem, the FR project will introduce you to the inherent doubts in choosing one solution out of all the available options. You will learn about different options and will provide you with proper guidance on selecting the best way to implement a specific solution for the specific problems.
• You will learn about how to build an automation testing infrastructure, define an automation testing framework from scratch, based on the AUT requirements specifications.
