QTP help advises you to UnRegisterUserFunc any method that was registered within the scope of the current action, though I don’t really understand why.

Yaron, when you wrote this I guess you were thinking in terms of do it once and reuse forever (such as when doing it using the QTP GUI or an initialization script/action). However, the rationale behind their recommendation is that if you use RegisterUserFunc in an action (that is, dynamic registration), it is probable that you do it to fulfill a specific requirement of that action. Therefore, it might be risky not to UnregisterUserFunc before exiting the action, as the invoked function may not suit the requirements of other actions.

Notwithstanding the aforesaid, take note that I’m planning to integrate the forums with the main site to make registration and administration easier to manage. It’s a complicated process, though, so I’m not yet sure when it will be done.

The new look is appealing. But the discussion forums appears to be getting burried. Maybe I’m going blind, but I wish there was a big fat link to the forums right on the front page. It’s the one major place I visit, and a new user might not even know they exist.

Second, to your question, YES, it is possible. However, I suggest that you wait for QTP 12 before you invest in such endeavor.

Sorry to re-open a thread that has died a long time ago.

Yaron, Is it possible to extend this to Application level custom classes? Let’s say i have My application class cls_FLights with some application functions such as Login(), Logout(), Bookaflight() etc… Now can i extend it with COM to get any intellisense as rt now QTP does not give any kind of intellisense with custom classes defined by the tester???
